Within this site you'll find information about our member organizations, events, and how to seek membership, and much more.
Greetings, The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), established on December 8, 2006, is comprised of 7 fraternities and sororities of Asian, South Asian and Latino interest. While these organizations are oriented towards a certain culture, each of them is open to membership from any race or ethnicity. Our mission is to educate the campus about the council and its member organizations, to unify and support these organizations and ultimately, to encourage membership of underground minority Greek organizations. This year the Multicultural Greek Council Executive Board will be working closely with the General Body as well as other Greek Councils to promote unity within the Greek Life at Tech. Our member organizations have held several mixers amongst each other. As a way to unify our member organizations even more, the Executive Board is going to be bringing the General Body the First Annual MGC Banquet. The banquet which is going to be held on April 20 will also serve to recognize the individuals and organizations in MGC who have significantly contributed to the Council as well as the Georgia Tech community. Also, for the first time this year, all of the four Greek Councils will be participating in the Greek Stroll-Off held during Greek Week. This event is very unique and exciting as for the first time, each fraternity/sorority from one council is going to be paired with a fraternity/sorority from another council. Apart from these events, make sure you look out for MGC during FASET and other exciting community service and social events throughout the year. The Multicultural Greek Council, along with the support of the Interfraternity Council, Collegiate Panhellenic Council and the National Pan-Hellenic Council, is here to welcome any culture and we proudly celebrate Greek Life at Tech. If you have any questions about MGC, our recruitment process or the Greek Community in general, please feel free to contact me. Regards, Karan Jhurani MGC President | ||||||||||||||||||||
