Current Members

 

Currently, there are seven organizations that comprise the Multicultural Greek Council. Alpha Iota Omicron, Lambda Theta Alpha, Lambda Upsilon Lambda, Sigma Beta Rho, and Sigma Sigma Rho were the five original organizations which founded the MGC. The latest additions to the MGC were Delta Phi Lambda in Spring 2007 and Xi Kappa in the Spring of 2008.

Alpha Iota Omicron

  • Established at Tech on January 21, 2005
  • Nationally founded on October 16, 1998 at University of Michigan
  • South Asian based organization
  • Currently has 17 active brothers

Delta Phi Lambda

  • Established at Tech on March 25, 2007
  • Nationally founded on December 5, 1998 at the University of Georgia
  • Asian based organization
  • Currently has 8 active sisters

Lambda Theta Alpha

  • Established at Tech on April 10, 2005
  • Nationally founded in December of 1975 at Kean University
  • Latina based organization
  • Currently has 4 active sisters

Lambda Upsilon Lambda

  • Established at Tech on December 4, 2004
  • Nationally founded on February 19, 1982 at Cornell University
  • Latino based organization
  • Currently has 3 active brothers

Sigma Beta Rho

  • Established at Tech on April 2, 2005
  • Nationally founded on August 16, 1996 at University of Pennsylvania
  • South Asian based, multicultural organization
  • Currently has 47 active brothers

Sigma Sigma Rho

  • Established at Tech on September 10, 2005
  • Nationally founded on December 10, 1998 at St. John's University
  • South Asian based organization
  • Currently has 8 active sisters
Xi Kappa
  • Established at Georgia Tech 2007
  • Nationally Founded on March 19, 1998 at the University of Georgia
  • Asian based organization
  • Currently has 11 active brothers
